The review found that <strong data-start=\"2150\" data-end=\"2194\">75.0% of reported systems are at TRL 4\u20136<\/strong>, while only <strong data-start=\"2207\" data-end=\"2252\">9.1% provide deployment-oriented evidence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2293\" data-end=\"2702\">The paper also shows a shift in the role of industrial agents. Conventional agent systems have often focused on production-control tasks such as planning, scheduling, dispatching, and negotiation. The proposed definition bridges conventional agent theory, automation-engineering standards, and the foundation-model paradigm.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3612\" data-end=\"3911\">This is important because the term \u201cagent\u201d is often used inconsistently across current AI literature. Instead, they represent a complementary paradigm.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4120\" data-end=\"4504\">Their strengths are especially visible in tasks that involve natural-language interaction, heterogeneous information sources, ambiguous context, engineering knowledge, and tool orchestration.
